COMMUNITY CRISIS RESPONSE TEAM

HOW TO ACTIVATE CCRT

Call 740-454-4147 | option 1

 

Provide basic information about the crisis, including the location, nature of the event, contact person on scene, and immediate needs. 

 

The CCRT will coordinate with local partners to provide tailored support. 

WHEN TO CALL 

The CCRT can be activated for:

  • Natural disasters or severe weather events

  • Community violence or mass casualty incidents

  • Sudden or unexpected deaths impacting the community

  • Any situation causing widespread emotional distress

why the ccrt matters

During times of crisis, immediate and effective response is critical to stabilizing individuals and communities. The Community Crisis Response Team (CCRT) offers: 

Enhanced Support: Additional resources to bolster existing crisis response efforts across the community. 

Specialized Expertise: Trained mental health professionals, crisis intervention specialists, and community partners equipped to handle various crisis situations. 

Community Connection: Bridging efforts with local mental health services to provide comprehensive care and resources. 

Post-Crisis Recovery: Ongoing support to stabilize and restore emotional well-being after a crisis. 

what the ccrt can offer

The CCRT provides a range of crisis response services, including: 

Immediate Crisis Support: Rapid deployment of mental health professionals to assist during a crisis. 

Crisis Intervention: De-escalation strategies to reduce harm and stabilize affected individuals. 

Community-Based Support: Assistance in community-wide crises such as natural disasters, violence, or significant traumatic events. 

Trauma-Informed Care: Specialized interventions to address emotional and psychological impacts.

Resource Coordination: Connecting individuals with local and regional support services for ongoing assistance. 

The CCRT is funded through the Bipartisan Safer Communities Grant administered by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OHMHAS) and supported by the Muskingum Area Mental Health and Recovery Services Board.
